7. Pricing & Fees

Annual Tuition Fee
R 120 000
per annum, per learner

The tuition fee is payable to Mineral Beneficiation College (MBC). All tools and equipment including stationery are included in the tuition fee for each student. The fee is to be sponsored by a committed sponsor of the programme — being a parent, the SETA (MQA), a private company (mining house), SARS, or another sponsor.

A list of prescribed tools and consumables will be provided by Mineral Beneficiation College to either the parent, the SETA (MQA), or the private company for them to purchase for the student. The minimum number of students to be taught is 20 per annum or level at each site.

8. Additional Costs

In cases where a student is required to study away from home, the sponsor is responsible for arranging and funding:

  • Accommodation
  • Transport
  • 3 meals per day per learner
  • Entertainment stipend (to support the student's well-being away from home)

MBC can facilitate accommodation and logistics at an additional cost.

A learner stipend of R1 800 per learner per month over 12 months is recommended to motivate learners to attend training regularly.
